La Petite Robe Noire Eau Fraiche by Guerlain
This is a recent flanker of Guerlain's La Petite Robe Noire.
Although I'm not quite a fan of sweet-floral girly fragrances, I must admit this is a good one.
You can really feel the overall quality of the scent, an undoubted characteristic of the Guerlain house.
The nose behind this creation is Thierry Wasser.
Among other scents, he's known for Lancôme Hypnose, the Aqua Allegoria collection, Idylle, Shalimar Parfum Initial and of course, the original La Petite Robe Noire and all of its flankers. He even stated at some point that “the sickness of making flankers every five minutes is very upsetting, but if I don’t want to get kicked out for not doing my job, I have to do it.” No comment :)
The opening of this eau fraiche is really beautiful, I can clearly smell the citruses and the orange blossom - which I love. Then, I get almond blossom, freesia and an overall floral vibe. I don't know about the fruity notes, I can't really identify them. Maybe just a bit of raspberry and sour cherry. To me, the overall impression is of a fresh, moderate-sweet nutty floral fragrance.
The base is really pronounced, it comes in scene really fast, I can happily sense the pistachio in this, along with tonka beans, vanilla and that musky patchouli combo.
The longevity is moderate, adequate for a soft eau de toilette.
Lovely, airy, sophisticated and very feminine.
