Allure Pour Homme by Chanel
Allure Pour Homme is a fragrance launched in 1999 by the house Chanel. It's creator is Jacques Polge, who also created the famous Cristalle, Coco, Coco Mademoiselle, Coco Noir, Allure pour femme, Chanel Chance. He is also the nose responsible for Emanuel Ungaro's Diva.
Although this is a complex scent in terms of notes, it's straight forward easy to wear and until the base kicks in, quite linear.
It's highly masculine, I can't really picture a woman wearing this (and please have in mind that I wear both women and men perfumes). By me, this one goes in "man only" section.
It's citrusy, a tad sweet, a little fruity, with an overall high class elegance vibe to it. The tonka beans and the vanilla give a warm sensuality to Allure Pour Homme, while the ginger and the citruses maintain its freshness. Clean, crisp, ideal for everyday wear at the office. The drydown is absolutely gorgeous, the benzoin adds more sweetness to the fragrance and only now it becomes unisex: a sweet, slightly powdery vanilla-coconut musky scent, which lingers and lingers for hours. So, depending on your skin's PH, it can be really long lasting for an edt.
Very nice!
